Ponies are poniponi okay good.
bronies make me sick bc they take over a show meant to empower little girls and allow them to reach who they truly are and take it and say ‘WE are the true fans, we pay for the show, we’re the true demographic for this show’ and then the girls and women feel ashamed because something that could have made them feel empowered as females is just treated as another male-powered item
Friend, I may have spent quite a bit of money on merchandise related to the show, and I may still consider myself a brony, but this show and the merch created to promote it wasn’t intended for us. We are not the intended audience, we’re a bonus financially, and a huge, vocal, demanding pain in the ass creatively. Some of the fanbase is great, some is questionable, and some of it is frightening.
I honestly think it’s great that the creators have come up with a show that people like regardless of gender, and that the best way to deal with sexism is to treat all people the same. Look up Morgan Freeman’s views on Black History Month, I’m a big fan.
